Choose the correct answer

The most common mutation in human pancreatic adenocarcinomas affects which group of proteins?

”Explanation”

Mutations in RAS genes (HRAS, KRAS, NRAS) are one of the most common mutation found in 20% of all neoplasms in people and 90% of pancreatic adenocarcinomas, 50% of colonic adenocarcinomas. Mutations often affect the self GTPase activity of the RAS protein which would convert active RAS to inactive RAS. RC 10th Ed. p 287
